The second largest city in Canada, the French-speaking metropolis of Montreal in Quebec, which, with its 3.6 million inhabitants is also the second largest French speaking city in the world after Paris. Montreal is about. 200 km southwest of the provincial capital Quebec and 150 km east of Ottawa, Canada's capital.
